OnePlus Nord CE 4

Let's be frank: the mid-range segment is a battlefield, and OnePlus has a history of carving out its niche with the Nord CE line. The Nord CE 4, at $329, continues that tradition, offering a competent package that leans into what matters for the everyday user. You're getting that signature OnePlus fluidity on the AMOLED display, bolstered by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for peace of mind, and that speedy UFS 3.1 storage is a welcome touch that makes app loading and multitasking feel snappy. The fast charging is, as usual, a standout feature, and the build, while not premium, feels solid enough. For those seeking a dependable daily driver that won't break the bank and prioritizes a smooth user experience, the Nord CE 4 is a sensible choice that largely delivers on its promise.

However, it's crucial to temper expectations. While some are calling it a worthy successor and "better than ever," the Nord CE 4 isn't exactly setting the world on fire. The criticisms regarding the wide-angle lens and a meager two platform updates are valid points for enthusiasts who demand more from their hardware and longevity. This isn't a phone that will push boundaries or excite the tech purist. Instead, it's a pragmatic, if somewhat unexciting, evolution. If your priorities are a reliable workhorse with a fluid display and rapid charging, and you can overlook the compromises in camera versatility and software support, then the Nord CE 4 makes a strong case for itself. But if you're looking for cutting-edge innovation or a device that will remain at the forefront of Android for years to come, you might need to look elsewhere and, inevitably, spend a bit more.
