Our Take
SS
Let's be clear: the Samsung Galaxy A26 at $299 is not a phone that will set the world alight with innovation. It’s a sensible choice for those who prioritize a reliable, user-friendly experience over cutting-edge flair. You get that signature Samsung Super AMOLED display, which is a real treat for the eyes in this price bracket, and the Exynos 1380 chipset delivers smooth enough performance for your daily tasks and even some casual gaming. Battery life is also a strong suit, meaning you won't be tethered to a charger. However, as the critics rightly point out, it’s a bit of a beige box in a world of vibrant competitors from Motorola and Nothing. If you crave personality and a bit more excitement, you might find this Samsung decidedly… dull.
Ultimately, the Galaxy A26 is a good value proposition if you're a committed Samsung user or simply want a no-nonsense smartphone that gets the essentials right. The 5G connectivity is future-proofing, and the inclusion of Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the display offers a welcome touch of durability. But don't overlook its drawbacks: some users will find the plastic frame a bit pedestrian, and the overall design is, frankly, uninspired. It’s a solid, dependable option for the budget-conscious, but it won’t win any awards for groundbreaking design or standout features. Consider it a safe bet, not a daring adventure.

The new Galaxy A smartphone brings a breath of fresh air to the mid-range: Samsung Galaxy A26 5G review
“Samsung has updated its Galaxy A series and along with it the Galaxy A26 5G. The 6.7-inch mid-range smartphone is the most affordable Galaxy A model of 2025 and comes with a number of improvements, including an IP67 certification, the Eynos 1380 SoC, six years of updates until 2031 and a stylish case with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back.”
